Cheryl Fernandez-Versini continued to soldier on on Thursday, following her divorce from her French husband Jean-Bernard, as she threw herself into a new work project.

The X Factor judge stunned as she was reunited with her good friend and hunky photographer Mariano Vivanco for a top-secret photoshoot earlier in the week.

The former Girls Aloud singer gently touched the Peru-born high-fashion snapper's upper arms as they encased her slight frame.

She closed her heavily made-up eyes and did her best duck-face impression in the sweet image which he shared on his Instagram page, alongside the caption: '#Goodnight from @cherylofficial and me!'

There was no denying Cheryl's captivating beauty in the shot which saw her elfin-like face professionally done-up with golden metallic shades.

She sported impeccably-applied bronzer and shimmering eye-shadow shades decorated her lids.

Another variation of the image depicted the pair hugging once again but this time they both wore beaming grins as they looked directly into the camera lens.

Sharing a black and white version on her Instagram account, Cheryl beamed about the fact she'd been reunited with Mariano.

'Reunited and it smells soooo good! @marianovivanco,' she gushed in the caption.

She kept coy about the premise of the photoshoot which whipped commenters into frenzy as they questioned whether she was working on a new perfume or her fifth studio album.
