Troll facing JAIL for tweeting vile abuse to James Bulger's mother

A WOMAN is facing jail for sending vile messages to the mother of murdered toddler James Bulger.

Chloe Cowan, 20, admitted taunting fragile Denise Fergus over her son's brutal death in 1993.
She donned the identity of killer Jon Venables, who beat, tortured and killed the boy after abducting him.

Venables, along with Robert Thompson, took him from a shopping centre in Bootle, Merseyside, to a remote set of train tracks where he was killed.

Tweeting under the screen name SirJVenables, she threatened one of Mrs Fergus's young relatives with a similar death.

Cowan, of Ramsgate, Kent, posted an image of the child, and said: "Can't wait til he's a tot, the tracks are already calling his name."

She had initially deied the harassment charges, but changed her plea on Friday.

Cowan broke down in tears in the dock at Canterbury Crown Court, changing her plea from not guilty "by reason of insanity".

The message was sent some time between January and June last year, sparking a police investigation.

Mrs Fergus responded to the taunt at the time, saying: "Cant believe that some1 on here is still blamin me 4 my sons murder it took me a long time 2 stop blamin myself thanx 4 ruinin my evenin (sic)".

The killers are pictured leading James out of the shopping centre in Bootle, Merseyside Cowan was granted bail ahead of sentencing later this month, but had been banned from contacting Mrs Fergus and other witnesses.

She could be sentenced to as much as five years in prison.
